The launch of my first full length book, Melons and Memory, has been set for November 27th at the Hygienic Art Gallery in New London CT. This means a great deal to me, as the Hygienic was one of the first places I ever read my work. We also have a cover! A beautiful photograph of my daughter Estella, before she had hair, enjoying her first watermelon. I’m especially proud of this shot, as I’m holding the child and the watermelon, as well as taking the picture, all at the same time.

The book will be available from the publisher’s website, www.littleredtree.com, and Amazon.com, as both a paperback and ebook. Just in time for Christmas!!

If you’re a follower of this blog, you’ve probably been wondering where I’ve been. Well, I was busy on a very exciting new project. My first full length book, Melons and Memory, is coming soon from Little Red Tree Press. Just in time for holiday gift giving, actually, with release set for November 26th, the day after Black Friday.

Melons and Memory is a book of poetry and flash, chronicling the different identities I have held as a daughter, mother, and wife. Running the emotions of joy, pride, sadness, and loss, it is womanhood in book form.

Melons and Memory, once released, will be available in print and ebook, both from the publisher’s website, and Amazon. Look for it this December, and stay tuned for information on readings and book signings!
